Character:
The Irish Water Spaniel is lively and cheerful, intelligent, and independent.
Temperment:
This dog gets along well with children, other dogs, and any household pets, provided early socialization has taken place.
Coat:
Consists of dense permanent curls. It is somewhat oily. The only allowable color is dark liver.
Care
Excessive grooming will cause the coat to be fluffy, which is undesirable. After brushing, the dog should be washed or allowed to swim to put the curl back into the coat.
